Well we’ve finally made it. The weather mods comparison has been requested for quite a while now and here it is. 4 Overhaul comparisons and in the first one we looked at interior lighting mods. If you missed that video, I suggest checking it out first. From my experience, I find it easier to first install interior lighting before moving on to the exterior. For those of you still here, let’s continue.

Introduction

The mods I am looking at today are: Climates of Tamriel, Vivid Weathers Definitive Edition, Rustic Weathers and Lighting, Dolomite Weathers, Natural and Atmospheric Tamriel, Obsidian Weathers and Seasons and Aequinoctium Weathers and Seasons. Oh I also threw in Vanilla lighting for good measure. Anyway, as you can see, there’s a lot of mods here so get comfortable, grab some food and drink and shut the door because this one, is gonna be TIGHT.

8. Vanilla Weather & Lighting

What you’re seeing now is vanilla weather. I am not using an ENB in this video but I am using custom sky and cloud textures so keep that in mind as certain mods shown may replace these. In case you didn’t know, vanilla lighting was improved in the Special Edition version of Skyrim so if you’re on Oldrim, yours will looks slightly worse. You’ll also want to note that you’ll only be able to find some of these mods for that version of the game. As far as I’m aware, only Climates of Tamriel and Vivid Weathers exist for both versions. Anyway it’s better than it was but that’s not saying much.
